It’s the first day and we are off to Rome! So far it has been a long day filled with excitement and tiredness and there is still a lot of the day left to overcome. We started off leaving the hotel first thing this morning and then we hopped on our first flight. The first flight was delightful (I actually slept through the entire flight) and we had no difficulty in the air or boarding the plan. We are now in JFK awaiting the arrival of our plane to take us to Rome. I have had a great time so far and it is great to experience the family feeling among all of us students and I feel like we have a great selection of students to go to Italy with! Out of all of this excitement though we have all grown very tired so it is amusing watching friends fall asleep here, there, and everywhere. Once we get on the plane and arrive in Italy it will be around 7-8 AM in Italian time and we will start the day with a walking tour of Rome. I can’t wait!
